I'm so sorry to hear about the tragic death of Caleb.  

I am a member of a support group for parents who have lost a child.  

You can read about this wonderful group at Holy The Children, which is a memorial for children who lost their lives in a private or state run facility.  It has been online for many years.  I know, because my child is listed on Holy The Children and I am eternally grateful for this wonderful memorial and it's very special founder who is truly an angel on earth.

I myself am almost 15 and even though I didn't know Caleb I'm about to cry. A kid at my sschool died last friday he drowned and it really made me think. I'm not invinsible but when a little kid thinks about dying he thinks of being 90 or 100 not 15. I read the letter written to his mom 5 days before he died, how he wanted to come home & be with her in his Sponge Bob Pjs I broke down & cried~ Its so heartwrenching that this young man is gone & such a tragic way SOMEONE must be held accountable & pay for the loss of this fine young man!!!!!! To Caleb's family:

Words cannot begin to express how sorry I am for your pain. I have learned what a wonderful human being Caleb really was and how his loss will effect so many. 

I will do my best to keep Caleb's story alive. As the story unfolds and the truth is revealed in the media I will continue to update the www.caica.org website. If there is anything you would like added to my website on Caleb's page please send it to me at info@caica.org. 

Those who were hired to care for Caleb failed him, in my opinion. I don't see it any other way. He indicated he was not feeling well and had a known history of staff infections. Even if for some reason the people caring for him were not informed of this, he showed signs of illness and they should have sought immediate medical attention for Caleb. 

The truth will unfold and it is my hope that when it does, and if the staff at Alternative Youth Adventures (AYA) are found to be responsible for Caleb's death, that they will be held accountable and that justice will be served. 

It is my hope that Caleb's story will help future children and that his death will not be in vain.
